Luminar AI a Revolutionary Photo Editing Program?

We already know Luminar 4, but today the developer (Skylum) released information about a completely new photo editing program, namely Luminarᴬᴵ. What is Luminarᴬᴵ, why is it revolutionary and what can we expect? You can read it in this article.

 

 

What is Luminarᴬᴵ?

Luminarᴬᴵ is a new photo editing program that will be released later in 2020. It is not a successor or replacement to Luminar 4 and therefore a completely new photo editing program. Although little information has been released as of this writing, Skylum speaks of a completely different approach when it comes to photo editing. Photo editing has been done the same way for decades. You open a photo, you have to decide for yourself how to edit the photo and then you get started with the editing options that you have. Unnoticed you perform the same actions for many photos and that takes quite a lot of time. We are now living in 2020 and that can be done in a smarter way, according to Skylum.

Skylum changes course, because Luminarᴬᴵ will give you suggestions on how to edit the photo. AI stands for Artificial Intelligence, so smart computer technology is used that analyzes each photo individually. Luminarᴬᴵ will show you how to edit the photo in the best way. This is done on the basis of ‘Templates’. Templates can be seen as a kind of combination between Looks (presets) and Tools (tools), but instead of having to scroll through a large library of options, Luminar selects the best edits for your photo. To what extent does this work well? That remains to be seen, but it sounds like a faster way to edit your photos.

 

 

Who is Luminarᴬᴵ for?

Do you like to spend hours at the computer editing your photos? Then Luminarᴬᴵ is probably not the photo editing program for you, because the whole ideology of Luminarᴬᴵ is that you spend less time editing photos. Is it all about the end result for you and do you not really care how that was obtained? Then Luminarᴬᴵ would be a godsend for you. Luminarᴬᴵ is of course also ideal for anyone who takes photos and wants to work with photo editing programs as little as possible.
