A mistake many beginning photographers make is to include a ‘foreground’ because….. that is what someone told them.
It is true a foreground can work out really great in a landscape or cityscape photo, but make sure the foreground really adds something to the rest of the photo. Don’t just include a part of a tree to get a foreground, because an unuseful foreground can make your photo worse. So before you take the photo, ask yourself the question: Why does this foreground element add something to the photo? Is the foreground distracting?
